Jerusalem, 15 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Ashdod Customs at the Israel Tax Authority and the Israel Police thwarted the smuggling of approximately 80,000 packs of cigarettes into Israel, for which the tax evasion amounted to approximately 20 million Shekels ($6.1 million).
The Israel Police is conducting an investigation against two suspects, residents of the Galilee (31,32), on suspicion of smuggling the cigarettes into Israel from Dubai claiming they were tissues.
