Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics reports a slight rise in total employment in July 2025, with an increase in the percentage of the labor force employed and
Jerusalem, 27 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the data from the Labor Force Survey July 2025.
July 2025 compared to June 2025, among those aged 15 and over:
Percentage of the labor force employed was 62.7% (62.4% in June).
Employment rate (percentage of employed people out of the total population) was 60.8% (60.7% in June).
Percentage of unemployed in the labor force – 3% (2.7% in June).
Percentage of people aged 25-64 in the labor force – 81% (80.9% in June).
Employment rate among those aged 25-64 – 78.6% (78.9% in June).
The percentage of unemployed people in the labor force among those aged 25-64 – 2.9% (2.5% in June).
The percentage of employed people who generally work full-time, out of all employed people – 78.4% (78.7% in June).

Employment rate excluding those temporarily absent from work all week for economic reasons – 60.7% (56.8% in June).
Percentage of those temporarily absent from work all week by selected reasons: economic reasons – 4.5% (52.2% in June), military reserve duty – 8.6% (10.1% in June), other – 0.9% (1.7% in June).
Men temporarily absent from work all week for selected reasons: economic reasons – 9.9% (49.1% in the previous month), reserve – 21.6% (18.9% in June), other – 1.4% (unchanged from June).
Women temporarily absent from work all week for selected reasons: economic reasons – 1.7% (54.9% in June), reserve – 2% (2.3% in June), other – 0.7% (1.9% in June).
