Six National Databases Established to Accelerate Medical and Agricultural Breakthroughs
Israel launches six national databases for 44M Shekels to accelerate medical & agricultural breakthroughs, fostering AI development.
Jerusalem, 16 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel launched six national databases with an investment of 44 million Shekels ($13.6 million) to accelerate breakthroughs in medicine and agriculture.
The new databases will centralize comprehensive medical and agricultural data and enable the development of personalized medicines, early identification of diseases, agriculture that is updated in real time, and innovative insights that will serve researchers, doctors, and technology companies throughout the country.
Universities, health funds, hospitals, and leading high-tech companies from all sectors have joined forces for the variety of projects.
The investment will enable the consolidation of existing data sources, the collection of new data, and the construction of cloud infrastructures accessible to every entity in Israel. These infrastructures remove barriers that have slowed the development of artificial intelligence-based products and services to date. They will allow researchers to develop precise medical tools, identify agricultural trends in real time, optimize advanced production lines, and strengthen Israel’s ability to deal with climate challenges.
The databases will give Israeli companies a competitive advantage over the world and help place Israel at the forefront of the global development of artificial intelligence in these fields. The result is new technological growth, broad collaborations, and the creation of opportunities for a strong and leading Israeli economy
