Seven New Developments in the Negev

Jerusalem, 18 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Interior will examine the municipal affiliation of seven new towns in the Negev, in the area between Beer Sheva and Arad, covering approximately 20,000 acres.

Currently, the towns’ future areas are associated with the Tamar Regional Council, and a Geographical Committee has been appointed to examine whether it is necessary to transfer it to the boundaries of the Meitar Local Council, as well as the area of the Yatir settlement that is to be built near “Dror” in the northwest of the Yatir Forest.
