Jerusalem, 7 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Serious clashes broke out tonight outside the Israeli embassy in Athens, following a march “In support of the Palestinian people”.

According to Greek media, some demonstrators threw flares and Molotov cocktails at riot police, who responded with tear gas.

The demonstration began in the afternoon with the crowd passing by the US embassy and ending up at the Israeli embassy carrying Palestinian and some Iranian flags. Greece’s Public TV reports that around 3,000 people took part. However, the number of those who took part in the clashes was significantly smaller. Several arrests were made.

Today marks two years since Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, killing 1,200 people and kidnapping 251 others to Gaza. Of those kidnapped, 48 remain in Gaza, although it is believed that only 20 are still alive.
