Russia Cancels Recommendations Against Traveling to Israel
Russian Foreign Ministry cancels travel warnings to Israel due to improved situation in the Middle East. No obstacles to visiting Israel, but caution near
Jerusalem, 9 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Alexei Klimov, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s consular department, said today that Moscow has cancelled previous recommendations for Russian citizens to avoid travelling to Israel. Speaking to the TASS news agency, Klimov explained that the decision had been taken in light of the “relative stabilisation of the situation in the Middle East”. He added that as a result there are currently no obstacles to visiting Israel. However, Klimov advised Russian citizens to avoid travelling to areas bordering Syria and Lebanon, as well as to the Gaza envelope, that is the areas around Gaza.
