Remains of Deceased Hostage Turned Over to Israeli Military, Being Returned to Israel
Israeli military receives remains of slain hostage from Gaza Strip, being returned to Israel with military honors and forensic identification process.
Jerusalem, 4 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Prime Minister’s Office said that Israel has received, through the Red Cross, a coffin containing the remains of a slain Israeli hostage which was handed over to israeli forces inside the Gaza Strip. From there, the remains will be transferred to Israel where they will be received with military honors with an IDF (Israel Defense Forces) rabbi.
The coffin will then be transferred to the Ministry of Health’s National Center for Forensic Medicine and, at the end of the identification process, an official notification will be given to the family.
