Red Cross set to receive remains of deceased hostage in Gaza, possibly of Manny Godard from Kibbutz Be’eri. IDF urges sensitivity and official identification.
Jerusalem, 13 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that, according to the information it has received, the Red Cross is on its way to a meeting point in the south of the Gaza Strip where it expects to be given over a coffin containing the remains of a deceased Israeli hostage.
The IDF requests that it proceed with sensitivity and wait for the official identification, which will first be given to the families of the hostages and said that, “Hamas is required to abide by the agreement and make all necessary efforts to return the dead hostages.”
Hamas claimed this is the body of the late Manny Godard from Kibbutz Be’eri, who was murdered and kidnapped to Gaza on October 7th.
