Israel's Ministry of Immigration launches "rights line" for new immigrant soldiers and reservists, providing proactive support and benefits.

Jerusalem, 31 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Immigration and Absorption launched a new “rights line” today – Thursday – for new immigrants, soldiers and reservists. As part of the line, Ministry representatives will make approximately 3,000 proactive calls to new immigrants who have served in the reserves for more than 60 days since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, providing them with information and personal updates on their rights.

The new line is part of the “Project from the Heart,” a ministry initiative designed to honor and benefit new immigrants who continue to contribute to the country’s security during their absorption process.

The line will operate in a multilingual format, and will allow for responses in six languages: Hebrew, English, French, Russian, Amharic and Spanish. The hotline will also be available via voicemail, human service and WhatsApp messages – all with the aim of improving service and meeting the needs of immigrants. As part of the “Project from the Heart,” a variety of rights will be granted to immigrants who have served more than 60 days in the reserves.

Among the benefits that will be provided to reservists: significant assistance with employment, scholarships and discounts for studies, vocational training programs, financial exemption from issuing a marriage permit, housing benefits, and a wide variety of other tools for safe and respectful integration into the country.
