Prime Minister Netanyahu Suffering from Bronchitis But Not a Danger of Infecting Others

Jerusalem, 15 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem released a statement Wednesday afternoon saying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital clinic in southwestern Jerusalem last Friday where he underwent what it called “comprehensive medical tests.”

The hospital said that the test results were normal, apart from a clinical impression of residual respiratory tract inflammation that was treated with appropriate medication.

The hospital issued the statement after Netanyahu’s office Wednesday afternoon said that the Prime Minister was suffering from bronchitis and so he canceled his schedule.

Netanyahu was criticized for visiting recuperating Israeli hostages the previous night, when he new he was sick.

However, Hadassah Hospital’s spokesperson said “there was and is no danger of infection to people in the Prime Minister’s environment.”
