Prime Minister Netanyahu Meets with US Republican Congressional Delegation
Jerusalem, 6 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, yesterday evening (Tuesday, 5 August 2025), met with an AIPAC (America Israel Public Affairs Committee) organized delegation of Republican members of the US Congress.
He briefed the members of Congress on the current situation in the war in Gaza and commented on the issue of the humanitarian assistance and what his office called the “mendacious campaign being waged by Hamas against the State of Israel.”
Netanyahu also spoke of the efforts to release Israeli hostage held in Gaza and answered questions from the members of Congress on regional issues and expanding the Abraham Accords.
During the meeting US Representative Abraham Hamadeh from Arizona, who arrived together with his mother, a Druze who grew up in the Suwayda district in Syria, thanked the Prime Minister for Israel’s support for the Druze in southern Syria.
