Jerusalem, 9 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Investigators and detectives from the Tel Aviv District Police Fraud Division and the Haifa Customs and VAT Investigations Unit of the Tax Authority on Thursday arrested the owners and employees of an emotional therapy institute and a “Balance House” from the north of the country on suspicion of systematically falsifying invoices for the treatment of wounded IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and other security forces.
Fraud investigators raided the suspects’ homes and conducted searches, during which the main suspect was arrested and four other people involved were summoned for questioning with a warning.
Several vehicles were seized during the searches, and the police intend to proceed with a confiscation procedure.
According to the suspicion, the owner of the institute submitted invoices for treatments that were not actually performed, totaling tens of millions of shekels, in order to extract funds from the Ministry of Defense.
Also, the volume of the false invoices is estimated at tens of millions of shekels, and they were used to receive reimbursement for expenses from the Ministry of Defense, as part of the “One Person” reform.
