Pesach Benson Breaking News

Jerusalem, 11 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israell’s Orbia Netafim has launched Mega-PULSAR, a new full-coverage pulsing sprinkler system designed to protect orchards from extreme heatwaves. The technology creates a localized microclimate by distributing uniform, low-volume water pulses that cool tree surfaces and increase humidity, helping subtropical crops like avocado and mango withstand severe heat stress.

Mega-PULSAR features wide spacing, high uniformity, and low water use, allowing growers to customize installation based on orchard size and terrain while reducing costs. Early deployments in spring 2025 showed promising results in lowering temperatures and boosting humidity. Orit Katzir, Netafim’s Global Product Manager, said the system addresses the growing risks of climate change and supports farmers in protecting yield and quality amid rising heat challenges.
