Jerusalem, 20 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Police in the Netherlands announced tonight that a suspect has been arrested on Friday night after attempting to break into and set fire to the lobby of the Israeli Embassy in The Hague.

“Hatred and violence will not deter us,” was the message posted by Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, after the attempted break-in and arson at the Embassy. “The Israeli flag will continue to fly proudly around the world”, Danny Danon added. Earlier, the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem confirmed that the perpetrator had been apprehended by the local police and that all embassy staff are safe.’

Also, following an explosion, the police unit in The Hague confirmed on X that one person had been killed and several others wounded, though it is unclear if there is any connection between the two incidents
