New York City Mayor Eric Adams Welcomed in Jerusalem by Israel’s Leaders
Jerusalem, 17 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with New York City Mayor Eric Adams at the Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv.
Netanyahu thanked Mayor Adams for his “great support of Israel and for being a true friend of the Jewish people.”
Adams said the two discussed the fight against antisemitism and the “unbreakable bond between New York City and Israel. We stand strong, proud, and united against antisemitism and all other forms of hate.”
Adams met Israel’s President Isaac Herzog and said they spoke about their “shared commitment to protecting Jewish communities in NYC and around the world.”
In addition, Mayor Adams was welcomed at the Knesset in Jerusalem.
“It’s been such an honor to be back in Israel reminding everyone here and back home that our administration will always support the Jewish people,” he said. “Our shared values of freedom and prosperity remain steadfast and I will always stand with you in the fight against antisemitism.”
The New York Mayor also visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem.
While there Adams said he “stood before the Western Wall and prayed. With thousands of years of unbroken faith, this is a place of prayer for all nations.”
