New WhatsApp Service to Aid Northern Residents Get Life Back to Normal

Jerusalem, 8 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — In order to facilitate the return to normal, Israel’s Ministry of the Negev, Galilee and National Resilience is launching “Zefoni” (Northern) for residents of the North – an AI-based smart agent using WhatsApp that provides 24/7 support to residents of the Galilee and the authorities on the front line.

If a person sends a WhatsApp message to “Zefoni” he can immediately receive personalized information in Hebrew, Arabic and Russian about exercising rights, employment, professional training and more.

“Zefoni” was established for residents of the North, in order to assist in returning to a safe and good routine, and is an address for receiving information on the topic of maximizing the rights that are due to residents of the North who are returning to their routine after northern residents were evacuated for more than a year due to the attacks by Hezbollah.

In the field of employment, it provides professional training and employment guidance, including programs that exist in the region for rehabilitation and assistance to businesses. In the field of education, “Northern” assists in making available schedules for the opening of educational institutions, information on informal education, and information on resilience centers in the North.

“Zefoni” provides services to residents of Metula, Kiryat Shmona, Mevot Hermon Regional Council, Upper Galilee Regional Council, Yesod HaMa’ale, Shlomi, Mate Asher, Kfar Vradim, Ma’alot-Tarshiha, Merom HaGalil Regional Council, Nahariya, Ghajar, Hurfeish, Beit Jan, Gush Halav, Me’ilia, Kesra Samia, Peki’in, Pesuta and Ma’ale Yosef Regional Council.
