Jerusalem, 2 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Transportation and Netivei (Paths) Israel Company opened the central section of Highway 334 (western Negev) to traffic, part of a large-scale transportation project connecting Sderot – located just north of Gaza – to the main transportation arteries in the south.
The new road, built with a total investment of 263 million shekels ($77 million), is expected to change the face of transportation in the area. Upon its full completion, the road will allow a direct and fast connection between Highway 232 (in the Gaza Envelope) and Highway 34 (to the east of northern Gaza), without entering the city of Sderot and without standing in traffic jams.
