Jerusalem, 12 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s National Planning and Building Committee on Monday approved plans for four new public bus transportation terminals in Akko, Neot Carmel, Tirat HaCarmel, and Yokneam.
The facilities will include electric bus charging stations, driver rest areas and technical buildings.
“The new terminals will help us upgrade and expand public transportation services, and will allow us to offer all residents of the State of Israel the option of leaving their private vehicles at home or in a parking lot, and to reach their desired destination by advanced and convenient public transportation – for work, shopping, and educational, medical and cultural centers, as is customary in leading cities in the world,” said Transportation Minister Miri Regev.
