Jerusalem, 1 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has a new initiative aimed at ensuring the planning and development of a supply of raw materials for the construction and paving industry in Israel. To this end, the Ministry is publishing a tender in which comprehensive geological drilling and soil testing will be carried out, which will characterize raw materials for the construction and paving market throughout the country.
Today, in places where there is a lack of up-to-date data regarding the quality and properties of raw materials, knowledge is needed to optimize the use of natural resources and prevent harm to compliance with engineering standards. The move is a continuation of the activities of the Quarries and Mines Division in the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, which is designed to provide a response to this need and create a well-established and professional database for future planning.
As part of the tender, one or more companies will be selected to provide drilling services, conduct geological surveys, conduct laboratory tests, and prepare professional opinions. The process will contribute to improving the quality of construction and transportation, ensure higher safety, and enable efficient and economical use of natural resources.
