New Industrial Park to Bring 5,000 Jobs to Southern Israeli Communities
Israel greenlights new industrial park in Tekoma, creating 5,000 jobs for southern communities. Major boost for economy and national resilience.
Jerusalem, 30 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel approved plans to build a major new industrial park in the Tekoma region, expected to create about 5,000 jobs for residents of Sderot, Shaar HaNegev and nearby communities. The project, Sapirim Park B, is a joint initiative of the Tekoma Administration and the Ministry of Economy and Industry. Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat said the move would help “restore the economy in the south and strengthen national resilience.” Nearly NIS 270 million ($82.9 million) will be invested through 2027 to clear long-standing barriers and open land for development. Officials said the park will serve as a regional growth engine and a symbol of post-war renewal in the south.
