New BOOST System Turns AR-15/M4 Rifles into Self-Sustaining Tactical Hubs
Jerusalem, 10 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — IWI (Israel Weapon Industries) has launched BOOST, a compact, rugged power system that converts AR-15/M4 rifles into self-sustaining tactical power hubs.
Integrated into the buttstock and adding less than 340 grams, BOOST contains a field-replaceable rechargeable Li‑ion battery and an internal backup bank, extending operational runtime by 3-5x and eliminating disposable batteries for optics and ancillaries. A plug-and-play harness supports thermal sights, night-vision, laser designators and other electronics, with automatic switching between internal and external power.
“For today’s soldiers, every gram matters, every second counts and every watt of power can make the difference between mission success and failure,” said Ronen Hamudot, Vice Chairman of the SK Group, the Israeli defense-holding company that owns IWI.
