Jerusalem, 22 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of National Security and the Prison Service signed two new and “substantial” salary agreements, which bring with them what the Ministry called “really good news for prison fighters and staff members at the Prison Service.”
Among the main points of the agreements:
Salary increases for all noncommissioned officers and officers
Expanding the additional bonus for career sergeants
These additions will result in a significant salary improvement of up to 20% for a starting correctional officer.
The move is expected to strengthen the strength of the correctional system, improve satisfaction among the staff, and lead to the recruitment of additional high-quality officers.
