Jerusalem, 22 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Thursday afternoon spoke with the parents of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, of blessed memory, the Israeli Embassy employees who were murdered in Washington. The Prime Minister told the families that he shares in their deep sorrow, together with the entire Jewish People.

Earlier, Netanyahu spoke with US Attorney General Pam Bondi, who promised that the murderer, and everyone who cooperated with him, would be brought to justice, and that the American administration would continue to fight vigorously against antisemitism.

Bondi told the Prime Minister that she is sorry to the depths of her heart and that US President Donald Trump is involved in managing the event, and that the US will bring the murderer to justice.

She asked to convey her condolences to the families of the young couple who were due to become engaged soon.

Netanyahu thanked her and President Trump for their clear stand against antisemitism.

Lischinsky, who had planned to propose to Milgram next week, was a research assistant in the embassy’s political department, focused on Middle East and North Africa affairs.

Milgram worked in public diplomacy. Born and educated in the U.S., she studied international relations at American University and later earned a master’s degree in natural resources and sustainable development from the University for Peace in Costa Rica.

The two were shot as they left an event hosted by the American Jewish Committee at the museum. The suspected gunman, Elias Rodriguez, 30, of Chicago, was arrested at the scene after reportedly shouting “Free Palestine” during his apprehension.
