Netanyahu Apologizes to Qatar’s Prime Minister for Death Caused by Israel’s Airstrike
Jerusalem, 29 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke from Washington on the phone with the Qatari Prime Minister and apologized for the death of a Qatari citizen in an Israeli strike against Hamas leaders in that country a few weeks ago. The strike failed to eliminate its intended targets.
“I want you to know that Israel regrets that one of your citizens was killed in our strike,” Netanyahu told Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani.
“I know your leadership has grievances against Israel and Israel has grievances against Qatar, from support for the Muslim Brotherhood to how Israel is portrayed on Al Jazeera to support for anti-Israel sentiment on college campuses,” he added.
Netanyahu also said that he welcomed President Trump’s idea for a trilateral group to address both their nations’ “outstanding grievances.”
