Ministerial Committee Advances Bill to Restructure Israeli Attorney General’s Position

Jerusalem, 4 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministerial Committee on Legislation, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Yariv Levin, approved for preliminary reading bills to split the role of the Attorney General on Sunday.

The proposed legislation would separate the Attorney General’s responsibilities from the Legal Counsel to the Government.
