Millions Allocated for Environmental Projects in Be’er Sheva
Ministry of Environmental Protection allocates millions for environmental projects in Be’er Sheva, including waste treatment and recycling center.
Jerusalem, 10 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Environmental Protection will invest 62 million Shekels ($19 million) in Beer Sheva, of which, 54 million Shekels ($16.5 million) will support the Beersheba Municipality in preparing, planning, treating waste and separating it into different streams.
The goal is to reduce the amount of waste currently sent to landfill.
An additional 5 million Shekels ($1.54 million) will be allocated to establish a recycling center in the city, and another 3 million Shekels ($900,000) will be invested in establishing a training and placement program for advanced degree graduates who will serve as sustainability and innovation associates.
