Jerusalem, 16 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — An 18-month-old unvaccinated boy has died of measles in Jerusalem, Israel’s Health Ministry said on Saturday, marking the second child fatality this week after a 2-year-old died Wednesday.
Since the outbreak began three months ago, 526 measles cases have been reported nationwide, including 209 still active. According to the ministry, the majority involve unvaccinated children. Nineteen children remain hospitalized, all under age six; two are in intensive care, and one is still on life support.
