Jerusalem, 21 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministerial Committee for Interior Affairs approved a series of measures to promote the construction of tens of thousands of new housing units and urban renewal. In total, an additional 30,551 new housing units were approved for accelerated development across the country.

New housing units will be promoted in four central complexes:

Rehovot (located about 20 KM southeast of Tel Aviv) TAMAL Center: Amendment of the announcement in favor of expanding the area of the plan and constructing 2,035 new housing units as part of a comprehensive urban renewal process in the city center.

Netivot (located about 20 KM northwest of Be’er Sheva, near Gaza) the old city: Promoting a large-scale evacuation-construction plan of 13,000 housing units, which will enable a significant upgrade of the old neighborhoods alongside public institutions, employment, and open spaces.

Netivot, TML/2027: Amendment of the announcement and expansion of the plan by another 750 dunams, for the purpose of constructing 9,436 additional housing units, in cooperation with the Israel Land Authority.
