Jerusalem, 17 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A Holon resident was arrested and detained for investigation on suspicion of making online threats against journalists.
The arrest came police officers opened an investigation about a month ago on suspicion of online threats, following the receipt of a complaint regarding threats written on the Israel Channel 14 website against three journalists working there.
The investigation was conducted using technological tools, said the police, which led to the exposure of the identity of the suspect who sent the messages—a Holon resident in his 20s. Yesterday, after landing in the country, he was arrested at his home.
At the end of the investigation, the suspect was released to house arrest and distancing from the individuals involved in the case and from the city of Modiin.
The police provided no details as to the nature of the threats made, nor the motivation behind them.. However, Channel 14 is an all news channel known for having a conservative political viewpoint.
