Jerusalem, 10 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety, in cooperation with Netivei Israel, is advancing the early planning phase of the Ilanot Interchange, a new interchange on Highway 4, which will be located between the Pardesiya Interchange and the Hadassim Intersection. The interchange will connect Highway 4 and Highway 561, creating a new western entrance to the city of Netanya.

Highway 4 runs the length of Israel, north to south, along the coastline of the country.

As part of the project, Highway 4 will be upgraded to three lanes in each direction, including a public transportation lane. A dedicated infrastructure strip will be allocated between the lanes for the benefit of a high-passenger transportation system, as part of early preparations for the establishment of an integrated transportation center in the area.
