Less than half of Israelis feel prepared for retirement, according to new data from Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics. Find out the financial planning

Jerusalem, 13 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the collection of data on financial planning for life after retirement, from the 2024 Social Survey taken among employed people aged 20 and over, and men up to age 64 and women up to age 59 who are not employed.

46% think they have planned their retirement well financially.

70% plan to finance their living expenses after retirement through pension savings

69% – through National Insurance benefits

60% – through continued work

48% – through non-pension savings

34% – through support from family members

24% – through inheritance

18% – through property income

13% – through the sale of assets

13% – through the sale of financial assets
