Jerusalem, 16 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Numerous residents of Ashkelon reported receiving leaflets scattered from the air in Arabic over the past hour. According to the municipality, inquiries with the Israel Defene Forces confirmed that the leaflets were intended for Gaza City, where Palestinians are being instructed to evacuate. However, the wind carried the leaflets to Ashkelon.

Gaza City is about 13 kilometers from Ashkelon.

Ashkelon authorities stressed that there is no danger to residents and no special instructions need to be followed.

The incident will be investigated to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
