LayerX Partners with Google to Secure Chrome Extensions
Israeli cybersecurity startup LayerX Security partners with Google Chrome Enterprise to enhance browser extension security, providing real-time visibility and risk analysis for organizations.
Jerusalem, 3 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — israeli cybersecurity startup LayerX Security has partnered with Google Chrome Enterprise to strengthen enterprise browser extension security. The Tel Aviv-based firm’s risk-scoring technology is now integrated directly into the Chrome Enterprise management dashboard, giving organizations real-time visibility into the safety of every installed extension.
LayerX analyzes permissions, publisher data, and hidden code to flag risky extensions. According to the company’s 2025 report, 99% of enterprise users have at least one extension installed — over half of which require high-level access.
