Jerusalem, 28 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the “Labor Force Survey Data” for August 2025.
In August 2025 (compared with July 2025, among persons aged 15 and over):
Participation rate in the labor force – 62.3% (62.7% in July).
Employment rate (the percentage of employed persons out of the total population) 60.4% (60.8% in July).
Unemployment rate from the labor force – 2.9% (3.1% in July).
Participation rate in the labor force among persons aged 25-64 – 79.9% (80.9% in July).
Employment rate among persons aged 25-64 – 77.7% (78.5% in July).
Unemployment rate among persons aged 25-64 from the labor force – 2.8% (2.9% in July).
The share of employed persons usually working full time out of total employed persons – 78.4% (same as in July).

Percentage of men temporarily absent from work all week according to selected reasons: economic reasons – 4.3% (9.9% in July), military reserve duty – 15.3% (21.6% in July), other – 0.9% (1.4% in July).
Percentage of women temporarily absent from work all week according to selected reasons: economic reasons – 1.7% (same as in July), military reserve duty – 0.5% (2% in July), other – 0.3% (0.7% in July).
