Jerusalem, 19 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A special skin cancer awareness event will take place Wednesday at the Knesset, where MKs, ministers, and staff will be offered free skin checks by leading dermatologists. Organized by the Israeli Skin Cancer Association, the event launches Skin Cancer Awareness Month and emphasizes the importance of early detection — particularly ahead of summer.
“A simple test can save lives,” said CEO Karen Bitan-Shemesh.
In 2023, around 2,000 Israelis were diagnosed with malignant melanoma.
