Jerusalem, 24 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — With the successful conclusion of Operation “Rising Lion” and the expected lifting of all restrictions by the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) Home Front Command Tuesday evening, the Jerusalem Municipality announced a full return to normalcy throughout the city, including classes in educational institutions and the resumption of all activities and events in the city.

The decision came after the completion of a situation assessment held at the Jerusalem City Hall’s Emergency Management Center, headed by Mayor Moshe Lion, and with the participation of the Municipality’s CEO, Itzik Lari, the municipality’s management, the Home Front Command, and other security and rescue agencies.

Municipal preparations began for a full return to normal.

The City of Jerusalem Municipality also announced that, in light of the expected return to normalcy, the benefit provided during the war for free parking in Blue and White spaces (for pay street parking) throughout the city will end.

Reception of the public at the city’s offices will resume starting tomorrow – Wednesday – according to the regular hours.

The city will continue to follow the Home Front Command’s instructions and update the public accordingly.
