Jerusalem Police Ready for Special Holiday Period Security Needs

Jerusalem, 17 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Jerusalem District of the Israel Police completed its preparations for securing the events of the upcoming Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur holidays, which will be celebrated over the next two weeks. Meanwhile, the completion of police preparations for the events of the holiday of Sukkot and Simchat Torah, which will follow, is currently underway.

During the holidays, thousands of district police officers will operate together with Border Guard soldiers, volunteers and police reinforcements in crowded places, holy places and entertainment venues, to maintain the safety, security and safety of worshippers and all residents of the city and those coming through its gates.
