Jerusalem-Ben Gurion Airport Train Line Closed Due to Wildfires

The wildfires that struck central Israel Thursday afternoon reached the train tracks and power lines near the Anava interchange area on Highway 1 – the main Jerusalem/Tel Aviv Highway – and as a result, train traffic on the Jerusalem-Ben Gurion Airport line was stopped.

Jerusalem, 30 April, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The wildfires that struck central Israel Thursday afternoon reached the train tracks and power lines near the Anava interchange area on Highway 1 – the main Jerusalem/Tel Aviv Highway – and as a result, train traffic on the Jerusalem-Ben Gurion Airport line was stopped.

Many fire crews continue to work to prevent the spread of the fire and protect the vital transportation and energy infrastructure in the area.

The traveling public is asked to check with Israel Railways and act in accordance with the instructions of the emergency authorities.
