Jerusalem, 19 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Starting from October 12, 2025, the automated data registration Entry/Exit System (EES) process for foreign citizens entering and leaving European Union countries was implemented.

Upon arriving in EU countries, foreign citizens will be asked to provide a fingerprint and/or a biometric photo.

The advanced registration is part of the preparations for the launch of the Electronic Entry Authorization System (ETIAS) for the EU countries, which is expected in the second half of 2026.
