Israeli Wearable Offers Drug-Free Relief for Migraines in China
Israel's Theranica partners with China's Pier 88 Health for drug-free migraine relief. NMPA approves Nerivio REN wearable for acute treatment.
Jerusalem, 30 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Chinese digital health company Pier 88 Health and Israeli medical technology company Theranica announced that China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has approved the Nerivio REN wearable for acute migraine treatment. The drug-free, smartphone-controlled device uses gentle electrical pulses to relieve migraine symptoms and reduce the risk of chronic progression.
Pier 88 Health will integrate the wearable into its China-focused digital ecosystem, connecting patients and physicians through AI-powered apps. The approval adds China to Theranica’s global rollout, which already includes the U.S., Europe, India, and South Africa.
