Jerusalem, 21 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — In an airstrike earlier today (Wednesday), the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) eliminated Hezbollah terrorist leader Hussein Nazia Barje, in the Tyre region in southern Lebanon.

Barje served as a central figure in the field of weapons production in Lebanon, which operated within the framework of the research, development and production directorate of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, said the IDF.

This department is responsible for the development, production and maintenance of weapons, and also works to expand the organization’s supply capabilities. Since its establishment, explained the IDF, it has managed many projects for the production of weapons in the theater, including the production of precision missiles.

The terrorist Hussein Nazia Barji served as an experienced engineer in the unit, and was responsible for establishing infrastructure for the production of precision surface-to-surface missiles.

The IDF added that his elimination was intended to harm Hezbollah’s reconstruction efforts after Operation Northern Arrow destroyed much of its terror infrastructure.
