Jerusalem, 29 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) announce that the local tactical ceasefire of military activity in Gaza that began today (Friday) at 10:00 AM will not apply to the Gaza City area, which, it said, constitutes a “dangerous combat zone.” The IDF explained that this decision was made in accordance with the assessment of the situation and the instructions of the political echelon.
“The IDF will continue to support the humanitarian effort in the Strip, in parallel with the continuation of maneuvers and offensive activity against the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, with the aim of protecting the Security of the citizens of the State of Israel,” it said.
