Jerusalem, 3 november, 2025 (TPS-IL) — israeli police said Monday that a suspected car thief was shot dead during an overnight confrontation in the Hebron Hills.

According to police, two Israelis discovered a crane truck loading their vehicle, which had become stuck near the Zayit Junction after an earlier accident. When they approached, the suspects allegedly attacked them. One of the Israelis opened fire, killing one suspect after fearing for his life. Another suspect, the truck driver, tried to flee with the vehicle and dragged one of the victims, who managed to escape with light injuries. police later found the vehicle and are searching for a third suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
