Jerusalem, 20 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) began marking the line its forces withdrew to in Gaza after the release of the remaining living Israeli hostages under the Gaza ceasefire agreement with yellow markers. This is because the line was drawn in yellow on the ceasefire maps.
The IDF said it is doing so “with the aim of creating tactical clarity in the field” as to where the demarcation line is for both sides.
The marking is carried out on a large, square, yellow concrete base with a yellow-marked pole at a height of 3.5 meters from the ground.
The concrete blocks will be placed in the field at distances of approximately 200 meters apart, in accordance with the terrain conditions between each marking, said the IDF.
