Jerusalem, 1 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Ministry of Defense’s Directorate for the Development of Weapons and Technological Infrastructure reported that its multi-layered defense system prevented damage to property estimated to be valued over 50 Shekels ($14.8 billion) and protected many human lives during Operation Rising Lion against Iran.

The Directorate provided the following details:

– The defense system’s drone array operated continuously for the first time in a third circle, performing thousands of flight hours and over 500 attacks and missile/drone interceptions in Iran.

– Tens of millions of square kilometers were photographed from space day and night in preparation for the operation. Over 12,000 satellite images were taken over Iranian territory.

– “Blue and White” munitions, developed by the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and Israel’s defense industries over the course of about 20 years, participated in the opening blow in particular and in combat in general, and were a “decisive factor in realizing surprise and achieving air superiority in Iranian skies.”

– Breakthrough technological capabilities in the fields of digital, artificial intelligence (AI) and electronic warfare were integrated into all arrays with “exceptional performance.”
