Jerusalem, 5 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Defense Ministry a NIS 330 million ($95.1 million) initiative to triple the production capacity for armoring D9 bulldozers, critical to the army’s ground operations in Gaza. Three Israeli companies have been selected to establish new production lines, operating alongside the existing military facility. The goal is to accelerate the protection of dozens of vehicles by the end of 2026.

The ministry adds that the project aligns with its policy to boost local defense manufacturing and enhance military readiness for the next decade.
