Jerusalem, 16 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces placed a NIS 67 million ($19 million) order for additional NEGEV light machine guns from Israel Weapon Industries (IWI), following the weapon’s proven performance during the last 21 months of war.
The 7.62mm NEGEV UX model, developed with the IDF, is valued for its accuracy, maneuverability, and reliability in close-quarters and complex battlefield conditions. Deliveries are scheduled for 2026–2027 and include a long-term maintenance package.
