Jerusalem, 26 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — In preparation for the start of the new season of the Israeli Football League, the Government Unit for Coordinating the Fight Against Racism at the Ministry of Justice is continuing with its work to change society through the football fields.
This is done through educational activities with youth, players and staff, which “leads to open dialogue, acceptance of others and an understanding of how much responsibility each of us has for the atmosphere on the field and in life.”
In 2024, the unit led a unique project in collaboration with the football clubs Beitar Jerusalem Football Club, Maccabi Haifa FC and Hapoel Beer Sheva FC, with the aim of combating manifestations of racism in the stands and in society in general. Following the success of the project, the unit is expanding the cooperation to include Bnei Sakhnin FC, FC Maccabi Netanya and Hapoel Tel Aviv FC.
