Jerusalem, 15 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel is set to open five new economic representations in 2026, bringing the total number of Foreign Trade Administration annexes worldwide to 60 — a new record. The expansions, announced by Economy Minister Nir Barkat at the 2025 Annexes Conference, aim to strengthen Israeli exports and support the country’s $1 trillion export target over 15 years.

The new offices will open in Addis Ababa, Miami, Athens, Buenos Aires, and Belgrade, targeting high-growth markets in Africa, the Americas, and Europe. In 2025 alone, Israel’s economic attachés facilitated around 45,000 business meetings, generating $1.2 billion in exports. Ministry Director General Moti Hagay said the expansion will double the scope of work and create new opportunities for Israeli exporters.
