Jerusalem, 7 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s mental health medical centers will be integrated into the general medical centers, in what the Ministry of Health described as a “gradual, cross-cutting and controlled process.”
The goal of the move, said the Ministry, is to improve medical services for both patients hospitalized in general medical services and patients in mental health facilities, while maximizing the capabilities of the health system.
“It is estimated that the move will be a breakthrough for similar processes around the world,” said the Ministry. “The move advances mental health reform, towards integrating the qualities of care in the world of hospitalization as well.”
